What fault is it of the masks?»
A professor of anthropology, José Antonio Fernández de Rota, very dear to me, has recently passed away. What little comprehension I have of what is human; that we are our own gods, that we can ultimately understand each other and, thus, that there is always some posibility of talking, and sharing and being-with-others; all this and more I owe, above all, to his words. So, I join another of his pupils, Ana, in her condolences and in her dedication of Santayana’s beautiful words on masks to his memory.
